Jackie and Phil literally did it twice at Slaters! They got married twice at Slaters after being caught up in the Covid restrictions in 2020 and having to downsize their first wedding. They had a small intimate wedding which was truly beautiful but they weren’t able to invite everyone. No dancing and certainly no hugging! Therefore, they decided once the restrictions were lifted they would do it all again. As a result, we got to spend extra time with them and even more friends and family.
For the second time around Jackie and Phil had a celebrant wedding conducted by Clare Smith. It was perfect for the second celebration as it was less formal for everyone involved (fewer nerves definitely)
The second wedding day was a beautiful Summers day. The weather was gorgeous and both Jackie and Phil were relaxed and couldn’t wait to greet everyone as soon as they arrived. Jackie forwent the tradition of not seeing the bride before the ceremony on this occasion as she was a pro at this wedding malarkey now!
With Pimms served, another gorgeous wedding breakfast, a stunning new wedding gown and everyone around them, this day was just as perfect as it could be.
We don’t usually get to see our brides and grooms much after the wedding so it is extra special that we get to spend double the time with the pair <3 We’re definitely fans of getting married twice at Slaters!
