Tissington Hall Wedding with Autumnal vibes and the most breathtaking gardens!

So, here we are, Autumn is just a sniff away (probably here already by the time you read this post!) This year has flown by with the latter part of the year being our busiest time. Many couples are now choosing the cooler, Autumnal, and Winter months to celebrate their weddings. This is great for us as a hot Summer wedding, in some of the most recent heatwaves, are intense!

We’re lucky that we get to work in all seasons and of course, we do have our faves! Mine, Elizabeth’s is Autumn and Winter and in contrast, Karinas are Spring and Summer. We are like chalk and cheese in many ways but they say opposites attract and we are now in our 11th year working together as Karienne and Elizabeth. We still love it just as much as the first day we shot our first wedding together <3

Today’s blog post is from Sarah and Toms’s wedding at the gorgeous Tissington Hall in Derbyshire. If you have never been please go and visit, it is a 17th-century Jacobean mansion with all the charm, history, and awe you would expect from a house steeped in so much history. Plus, the gardens are to die for…it is rose and dahlia heaven!

Sarah and Tom celebrated their wedding last year (a small wedding due to Covid) with a blessing a year to the day at St Oswald’s Church in Ashbourne. Again, another beautiful building, with thank goodness, no installed wide screens, hideous modern lights, or plastic chairs. It is a church just how it should be. No offence intended to any church that has become a little more ‘modern’.

We worked with some amazing suppliers to make Srah and Toms dream day perfect. They are all listed below and we recommend each and every one of them.
